We are going to do things a little differently for the bowls. Hopefully everyone has access to Microsoft Excel. Click here to download the lines to all of the games. Print this out and figure out who you want to win each game and what value (1 thru 34 pts) you would like to assign to the game
Once you decide you have three options. Scan your handwritten picks to a pdf and e-mail them to me. Fill out the excel spreadsheet in Excel, idicating your picks and the point values of the game and e-mail it to me.
I will be posting everyone's bowl picks on saturday morning. Good luck and e-mail me/call me if you have any questions.

Well, good year everyone. It came down to the last game of the season, but 8th Wonder pulled out the win by less than 6 points.
I am currently working on a submittal page for the Bowl Selections. Once the page is setup, you will need to pick the winner of each bowl game (against the spread) and assign a point value to each one of your picks (1 thru 32). Odds and submittal page will be posted sometime this week. I need to figure out at what point i am going to freeze the lines for all of the bowl games.

The bowl selections will be out after the championship games next week. This week will decide who will be our BCS teams. Check the Bowl selections page to see who comes out as the 1st half winner.
I will check throughout the next 24hours to determine if Superfly TNT has already clinched the title or if 8th Wonder still has a shot depending on their bowl selections.

EVERYONE DOUBLE CHECK AND MAKE SURE YOUR TEAM'S NUMBERS ARE CORRECT (i.e. power conf's, conferences, etc.). You must let me know of any discrepancies that have happened between Week 1 and Week 11 by the end of the week (Saturday, November 15, at Noon). Ok Week 4 Odds have been corrected. When I ran my script to get the odds the find/replace of "-110" screwed up the lines for West Virginia. They are all correct now. THanks for everyone who saw the problem... As promised here are some stats as of the end of Week #3.
24/39 this past week in overall picks = 61.54%
5/11 for power conferences this week = 45.45%
*1st week we had someone select their power week, going 2 for 5 ~ 40%
2/6 on Top 25 picks this week = 33.33%
Overall Picks for the league 72/135 = 53.33%
Overall Conference Picks 24/55 = 43.63%

Week #3 Results (Updated 9/14/08)
I will post summary of Week 3 Wednesday night after i get back to Raleigh. I am in Tallahassee tonight. I just posted Week 4 Odds. There is a wednesday game that uses the same rules as submittals for thursday games. Any errors i will deal with when i get back just e-mail me.

Week #3 Scoreboard. (Updated 9/12/08)
It is not shown in the rules but for any games that are a "push" you will receive 2 pts (whether it's a Regular game, Top 25, or PWR game). If the game is involved in a parlay the parlay will reduced by that game (i.e. 3 game parlay with 1 push would become a 2 game parlay with the other 2 teams involved). If it is stacked you will receive 2 pts per stack (i.e. 3 stack will receive 6 pts).
*Also, Blue games are postponed until a later date. Points will be awarded to Week 3 when these game are played. If a game is canceled you will need to pick an extra game the following week to makeup for the cancelled game. The lines will remain what they are today +/- 24 points or you will have the options to take the lines for that current week.

Week 2 is over and a few teams did really well and a few not so much. Superfly TNT moved up from 3rd to 1st place with almost picking a perfect week except for the Auburn game.
There have been 5 stacked game this season with teams being successful on only 2 of them giving a Stack Win % of 40.0%. Also this week teams went 2 for 8 in picking their Power Conf Game (25% win percentage).
Overall picks this week teams went 20 for 48 (41.66%) and for the season the league is 48 for 96 (50.0%).
Overall conference picks teams are 18 for 39 (46.15% win percentage).

A very entertaining Week 1 is now in the books.
Teabag Tebow jumped out to an early lead by taking South Carolina in a 2 game stack on Thursday night. Since then the team never looked back and ended the 1st week with only 1 loss. Taking Alabama with the money line added a bonus of 5 points to the PWR conference game which awarded him with the most single game points this season (15 points). If Auburn wouldn't have come out strong against L. Monroe we could have witnessed our first perfect week of the season.
The league picked 28 out of 48 total games correct for a Win % of 58.33% and teams were 3 for 8 (37.5%) in picking their PWR Conference games in week 1. Surprisingly, the Top25 Game teams were 5 for 8 (62.5%).

The Bowl Selections have been submitted and it's time for the fun to begin. Here is a quick overview of how the site is laid out. Across the bottom of this page there will be the links that will take you to each area of the site as described below:
PAYOUT ARE AS FOLLOWS (TOTAL POT OF $120x8 = $960):
FIRST HALF WINNER = $600
SECOND HALF WINNER = $360
Team Info - A page dedicated to showing all teams, player names, power conf, contact info, just so everyone can get a feeling for who is playing and where they are located.
Blog (not yet in operation) - This will be a page dedicated for everyone to talk back and forth throughout the year. You can give feedback on the site, how to improve the game and/or making selections, or just to totally bash eachother. As you all already saw my friends enjoy doing that to me all the time and it will probably get pretty crazy... I also plan on explaining statistics throughout the year and giving weekly updates on this page.
Weekly Odds - This will be where you can see the lines to each game that is eligible to place a wager on each week. As stated before, only games listed on this page (where both teams are D-I) are going to be used this year. The odds will be updated on Sunday or Monday each week. The lines shown on this page will be the same ones available for selection in the drop down lists on the "Weekly Submittal" page. Please pay attention to the day in which the games are played and have your entire week's selections submitted before the 1st game is played (preferably before 5pm for Thursday night games and 5pm Friday for Weekend games).
Submit Your Weekly Picks - As stated, this is where you go to make your picks each week. You will need your access code (the one you entered for bowl submittals) and then just go to town on who you think will win. If you parlay a game click the parlay radio button for as many as you are going to parlay and also use the dropdown numbers to indicate 2game parlay, 3game parlay, etc,. The dropdown numbers are also used for stacking. If at any time you don't know if you are making your pick correctly send me an e-mail and explain your thoughts on how you meant to make the selections and we can go from there. If there is too much confusion i will make some screen shots and post them but as of now I think it is pretty straight forward.
Submittal Status - This page will show who has submitted their weekly picks as well as their IP address and Timestamp. This page was added to the collection just in case you were making selections and your computer froze and you didn't know if you clicked the submit button or not. Also, you can make as many selections you want throughout the week, the computer code will only accept your latest. So it is ok to change your mind as many times as you would like.
Weekly Scoreboard - Friday evening/Saturday morning all picks for the week will be posted to the "Weekly Scoreboard". This is a place where you can watch your teams throughout the weekend and see how they perform.
Overall Standings - This will be the running totals for the season. All Weekly Scoreboard Results will be summarized on this page.
Power Conference Win Percentage - This page will keep a running total of your Power Conference Win Percentage. Your power conference is important for 3 reasons. One, you must choose atleast 1 game from your power conference each week. Two, for one week out of the season, you must claim it as your "power week" and all 5 selections shall be from your power conference. And finally, all Power Conference games count towards your Power Conference Win Percentage. This percentage is multiplied by 100 and added to your season totals. Therefore, if you are making 1 power conf. pick a week plus your power week your win % will be based out of 20 games. If more of your "normal" games contain power conf. teams the your % will have a higher total number of games. That could be good or bad. The decision is yours.
Conferences - Throughout the season each team must select a game that involves a team from each conference. As stated in the First Half Rules each conference not represented by your picks will incur a 15 point deduction from your overall score. Keep in mind that I will try my best to keep up with this on a weekly basis but it may be updated only every 2-3 weeks for the first parts of the season. Also note, If you were to pick a game, say Miami vs. Florida, it could count for the SEC or the ACC, no matter who you choose to win. (As you can see this could get very confusing for me to keep track of so check this chart regularly and if i assume you wanted that to count towards the SEC and you wanted ACC, just let me know). And it can change as the season goes on. Just something to keep in mind.
Bowl Selections - This page will show your bowl selections you made before the season began. It may not seem very important now but when the regular season is over and this is the last way your team can score points and jump into that #1 spot, you will wish that you took a couple more minutes to make sure that Championship selection was spot on.
